Patient Transport Services

Our Patient Transport Services

Ensuring person-centred care is delivered throughout the journey, our service levels are individualised to ensure that regardless of need, the right resource is there to cater for the patient. Typical transports include to and from appointments, repatriations (internationally, airport collections, and nationally between places of definitive care). More than just an ambulance transfer, we continue the care or therapeutic interventions as the transportation happens, keeping gaps in care delivery to a minimum.

All our ambulances are equipped to the highest standard for patient transfer services with automatic electronic defibrillators (AEDs), monitors, oxygen facilities and are fitted with access ramps and floor tracking to enable the safe transportation of wheelchair patients.

You can use our online form to book or enquire, or you can download our Pre-Event Assessment Form to fill in and send to us.

Non-Emergency

Pre-planned conveyance from either home or a hospital to anywhere is a regular activity that Immediate Care Medical undertake. Our experience/experienced staff offer dignity and care in every journey, as we understand that the “patient” is a person our focus of care.

High Dependency

Journeys that are scheduled for patients not requiring emergency treatment, but do require ongoing clinical care, or potential interventions during their journey. Critical Care transfers are scheduled for those patients who are travelling between, or going to an intensive care units, and require 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 care.

Repatriations

Being in the right place of care, or simply in care nearer to home can have a huge impact on outcome for both the patient and their families. Repatriation involves moving nationally or internationally and continuity of care is upheld whilst the patient journey progresses towards their destination.
